Eric Sidoroff
assoz. Prof.Dipl.-Ing. Dr.
Eric has been researching and teaching at the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Innsbruck since 1999. With his habilitation in 2016, he was promoted from assistant professor to private lecturer with a Venia Legendi in spatial/ design. His research fields include spatial design and interior-spatial design with a focus on exhibition scenography and media spaces on the one hand and learning and school space development on the other. He is co-founder of the interdisciplinary platform PULS - Learning and Space Developing with experts from all German-speaking regions and has been working on an Erasmus + project since 2017 together with scientists from the University of Bolzano, the Art University Linz and the Alanus University near Bonn.
Since 2010 he has successfully supervised over 50 diploma and master's theses and has also held lectureships at the MCI Management Center Innsbruck and the University of Liechtenstein and held workshops and summer seminars (RMIT, AA, AHO Oslo, Städel Schule Frankfurt).
In addition to his teaching and research activities at the university, he founded the office ‘SID Architekten’ with Celia Di Pauli in 2008 with - aside from classic architectural projects – the focus on exhibition design and the development of informal learning spaces (Examples: exhibition for the UNESCO World Heritage Swiss Alps Jungfrau Aletsch in the World Nature Forum in Switzerland, the exhibition “Ich lasse mich nicht länger für einen Narren halten” on the history of psychiatry in North, South Tyrol and Trentino or the exhibition “Everything foreign to everything Tyrol ” in the Innsbruck Folk Art Museum.)
